You know, sometimes you hear something that’s just SO ridiculous that you completely discount it, even though it’s coming from a source that coulda, maybe, mighta said something ludicrous.
But your rational brain won’t allow you to accept that even someone with a track record of inanity could be that bat-guano gone.
And then, well…it turns out you were wrong.
I have just experienced this.
Fox’s Kevin Corke, who is a really spectacularly decent fellow, had a Xweet up last night that I kind of giggled at.
If they weren’t busy offing sick people and scaring themselves silly, spazzing out over made-up boogeymen, the Syrupeans would have nothing at all.

To be fair, I wasn’t the only scoffer.
Lots of people, once their eyes were done rolling, were equally in the skeptical, ‘Yeah, okay, sure he did‘ boat with me.
Most ridiculous headline of the year.

I did not click through to read the story and, well, I’d say ‘Shame on me,’ but then again, I’m not the lunatic here.
Mark Carney is.
Tiny dude’s frickin’ certifiable.
…Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney says he prepared for the “extreme tail risk” that the U.S. would invade Canada amid recent trade tensions.
Carney made the statement in an interview with The New York Times published Wednesday, saying he weighed the possibility after President Donald Trump began referring to Canada as the 51st state.
“I think you have a responsibility in these roles to look at extreme tail risk. That’s just risk management. That’s not a base case,” Carney told the Times, arguing that “it would be irresponsible not to.“
WHUT
One of Carney’s ministers (and what a lucky guy he is) was asked to clarify the Prime Minister’s comments, and he did a bang-up job of digging that paranoia hole even deeper.
He explained that the Bad Orange Man has been so blustery and mean that not running defense scenarios wouldn’t have been ‘prudent.’
That’ll fly.
‘Artificial Intelligence Minister.’ It tracks.
…Artificial Intelligence Minister Evan Solomon was asked Thursday by CTV News chief political correspondent Vassy Kapelos to comment on Carney’s remarks that “it would be irresponsible” not to prepare for the possibility of a U.S. invasion.
Solomon responded by saying it is “prudent to run any scenario.”
“That’s the way every government functions. You run any scenario, so you’re prepared for everything. This is not abnormal to think of whatever the long-term risks of any scenario is,” he said.
But pressed by Kapelos on what those preparations could look like, Solomon would not answer directly.
“I’m not going to get into how the military prepares for any scenario,” he said.
Kamala was ours, remember?
A former DEFENSE minister had a completely different take on Carney’s stupid statement.
FERME LA BOUCHE, IMBÉCILE
…Peter MacKay, former defence and foreign affairs minister, called it irresponsible for Carney to discuss preparing for a potential U.S. invasion in comments published Wednesday in The New York Times.
MacKay told CTV News Channel on Thursday, that he was confused by the prime minister’s comments which he said “takes us from the realm of retaliation to provocation.”
“What we really need to do, in my humble opinion, is to get back to the bargaining table and talk about the removal of tariffs,” he added.
MacKay said he does not understand Carney’s rationale for going down that road, “especially when tensions are so high.”
“I’m not sure what the effort was here, to perhaps play to a domestic audience, to send a message to the White House, but I don’t think it’s working in our favour.”
THE UNITED STATES WAS VERY CLOSE TO AN INVASION IN GREENLAND AS WELL
Prime Minister Mark Carney said he’s prepared for the possibility of U.S. President Donald Trump ordering a military invasion of Canada, according to a new report.

Holy CRAP
What are they smoking up north – nothing but bad Chinese weed?
But this hysterical invasion speculation has been running rampant for a while, spilling out of conspiracy circles and midnight campfires into what is normally the real world.
This press conference happened at the beginning of September, and the U.S. admiral here can barely keep it together. He manages to spit out a ‘Canada is a close ally…’ and then completely loses all military bearing as what I’m assuming is a Syrupean reporter just badgers the crap out of him because the whole thing is so frickin’ stupid it hurts.
THAT’S A NEEDLESSLY EMOTIONAL QUESTION
Mark Carney decided to tell New York Times Canada is preparing for risk of U.S. Invasion even after U.S. admiral said do you also want my battle plans for the Martians too? That’s the level of absurdity we’re dealing with.pic.twitter.com/G7lViX83js

…REPORTER: BUT YOU DIDN’T ANSWER THE QUESTION!!!! *snarl snarl snarl*
US NAVY ADMIRAL: Would you ask me, please, also, what my attack plans are for the Martians?…
REPORTER: Oh, you were mean and dismissive of me!
US NAVY ADMIRAL (who still can’t stop laughing): I’m not dismissing you, but I do dismiss the question
He cannot stop laughing at these foolish Syrupean regime tools, God bless him.
…But Canadian legacy media keeps pumping out Trump invasion fantasies, and Canadians fall for it keeping TDS at 1,000%.
What a blatant politically motivated farce, just like Carney’s ‘trade war.’
The only reason Prime Minister Carney made that statement was to continue to manipulate Canadians to fear the USA
And the reason to stoke those fears is to improve the Prime Minister’s position in the polls
It’s shameful

And there are sheeple in this fellow’s comments already wailing about, ‘The U.S. has always wanted to annex Canada…!”
Believe me – we want nothing to do with you.
Exactly
— Ron Butler (@ronmortgageguy) September 24, 2026
You’re a shrill, weepy, navel-gazing, insecurity-ridden, virtue-signaling psychological mess.
Like, we have plenty of that here.
Even Martians would be preferable.
