Adam Carolla Calls Out the Dumbest Voting Habit in the Country [WATCH]

Commentator Elisha Krauss and comedian Adam Carolla argued that Spencer Pratt’s campaign has already altered the political landscape in Los Angeles, with both suggesting his candidacy changed the direction of the race and exposed weaknesses for Democratic leaders.

Krauss said she had spent the week discussing the results on various news networks and pushed back on criticism that Pratt failed to secure an outright majority.

“Been on all the news networks about this, talking about this this week, and I actually feel like I know some people are disappointed that he didn’t get 50% plus one vote. I didn’t think that was feasible,” Krauss said.

Carolla agreed.

“No,” Carolla replied.

Krauss pointed to the campaign’s reported grassroots efforts, saying the operation reached a significant number of voters.

“Apparently his campaign team is saying that they knocked on over 100,000 doors; that’s just incredible. And if they keep up that momentum, I think he has a clear path forward in November,” Krauss said.

She argued that Pratt’s entry into the race prevented a different political outcome that could have shifted Los Angeles politics further to the left.

“But I think that this is actually a huge loss in a lot of ways for the Democrats, because had Spencer Pratt not gotten in, I think he’s already saved LA, and there’s some people on social media saying this as well, like we could have had a Nithya Raman versus Karen Bass, we could have had a mini Mamdani, Mamdani, like here in Los Angeles, and he prevented that from happening, and very resoundedly so,” Krauss said.

Krauss also criticized Mayor Karen Bass’s performance in the election, noting that Bass received only a portion of the vote despite her long political career.

“And also it’s an embarrassment and a stain on Karen Bass that the woman’s been in politics since 2005 and she only got a third of the vote here,” Krauss said.

Carolla used the discussion to contrast the candidates he supports with Democratic officeholders and candidates.

“I just feel like I want to say this to everybody: we are voting for Spencer Pratt and Steve Hilton to save this state and to save the city we all love, you guys are voting for Karen Bass and Javier Baccaria because you’re Democrats, and that’s all,” Carolla said.

Carolla argued that there was no measurable basis for supporting Bass based on her performance in office.

“There’s no other legitimate, measurable reason why anybody through any measurable yardstick ever created would think Karen Bass was doing. I will, I will be generous and give her a C minus. I’ll be totally generous and go C minus, job that she’s doing running this city. That is the best and the most generous offer I can make, and anybody who was intellectually honest could not go higher than a C minus,” Carolla said.

According to Carolla, partisan loyalty is the primary reason many voters continue to support Democratic candidates.

“So you were only voting for her because it has a, she has a D in front of her name,” Carolla said.

Carolla also criticized Xavier Becerra and compared him unfavorably to Steve Hilton.

“And the Xavier Becerra, he is a dope, he, they made fun of him. The people in the Biden administration…” Carolla said.

Krauss then added, “Still actively… was publicly tweeting a couple days ago that he’s an idiot.”

Carolla responded, “He is an idiot, you can see it in his eyes. He’s only there with the Spanish surname, and you’re only voting for him because there’s a D in front of it. Steve Hilton would run in and can run intellectual circles around that dope.”

Carolla concluded by arguing that supporters of Pratt and Hilton see their campaigns as efforts to change the direction of California and Los Angeles.

“So we are voting to save the state. You are voting because you have, you’re lazy, and you have pride, but it’s misplaced pride, and you’re actually hurting yourself,” Carolla said.
