A TikTok user is demanding that Democrats boycott Buc-ee’s after the Texas travel center giant made clear that conservative states remain far more attractive for expansion.

Apparently, even grabbing snacks, barbecue, and gasoline must now pass the political purity test.

The online outrage followed comments from the company’s CEO praising states with conservative leadership and business-friendly policies.

The executive also signaled that Buc-ee’s intends to focus future growth on places where operating a major business is welcomed rather than treated like an offense.

Gold. Upgraded. Buy real gold from $1. Store it in America. Sell it with one click.

WATCH:

That message did not sit well with at least one TikTok activist, who responded by calling on Democrats to abandon the popular chain.

The warning came wrapped in an attempt at menace: “You’re going to get what you wish for, Beaver.”

This Could Be the Most Important Video Gun Owners Watch All Year

That line may have been intended as a devastating blow, but it sounded more like a frustrated customer threatening a cartoon mascot.

Bucc-ee’s has built an enormous following through clean facilities, sprawling stores, plentiful food, and a brand that does not need approval from political scolds.

The dispute highlights a familiar pattern in modern progressive politics.

When a company embraces fashionable liberal causes, Americans are instructed to applaud its courage, but when an executive praises conservative governance, the boycott brigade begins warming up its hashtags.

There is also a practical reason businesses might prefer conservative states.

Lower taxes, lighter regulation, affordable land, reliable infrastructure, and officials who actually want employers to arrive can make expansion faster, cheaper, and considerably less painful.

Blue state leaders often seem mystified when companies choose other destinations.

They pile on regulations, increase costs, empower hostile bureaucracies, and then act betrayed when executives decide that Texas or another conservative state offers a better deal.

Buc-ee’s is not a tiny boutique that depends on a handful of politically obsessed customers.

Its locations regularly draw massive crowds, and its appeal stretches far beyond party registration because most travelers care more about convenience and quality than ideological theater.

That makes the proposed boycott particularly amusing.

Democrats who refuse to visit may inconvenience themselves, but the company is unlikely to collapse because a TikTok personality announced a political crusade against brisket sandwiches, fuel pumps, and beaver merchandise.

The CEO’s reported position also reflects a basic free market calculation.

Businesses generally expand where demand is strong and government is less determined to punish success, regardless of how many activists complain into their phones.

Conservative states have spent years recruiting employers while many Democratic officials chased higher taxes and increasingly aggressive mandates.

Those choices have consequences, even when the consequences arrive wearing a Buc-ee’s cap and carrying a bag of Beaver Nuggets.

The boycott demand attempts to turn the company’s expansion strategy into a moral scandal.

WATCH:

Yet choosing a favorable business climate is not some sinister plot, it is what responsible executives are expected to do when deciding where to invest millions of dollars.

If progressive activists truly want more Buc-ee’s locations in blue states, their complaint belongs with the politicians who made those states less competitive.

Lecturing a private company for noticing obvious economic differences will not erase the policies that created them.

The episode also shows how quickly ordinary consumer decisions become political loyalty tests on social media.

One executive praises conservative governance, and suddenly Democrats are expected to swear off a beloved travel stop as proof of devotion to the cause.

Buc-ee’s appears ready to keep growing in communities that welcome investment, jobs, tourism, and tax revenue.

The TikTok boycott crowd is free to stay away, leaving shorter lines and more barbecue for everyone who can enter a convenience store without having a political meltdown.
