DeSantis Drops the Hammer on Antifa and CAIR Terrors in Disguise [WATCH]

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is once again refusing to play the left’s game of political correctness, this time by calling out Antifa and the Council on American Islamic Relations for what they have long proven themselves to be, as reported by PJ Media.

The governor officially designated both groups as terrorist organizations, a move that instantly sent the media into meltdown mode and exposed just how far they will go to protect their favorite radicals.

WLRN, a Miami-area PBS affiliate, responded with a headline that was as misleading as it was predictable, framing the story with “DeSantis: Florida set to label Muslim civil rights nonprofit a terrorist group under new law.”

That headline alone tells the story of media bias in full bloom.

It implies that the governor is picking on some innocent civil rights group, seeking to paint him as a bigoted extremist driven by “Islamophobia” rather than one of the few leaders actually willing to face down radical networks masquerading as community advocates.

The reality, of course, is that CAIR’s record speaks for itself, and it is filled with red flags. The Justice Department has named CAIR as an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case.

The organization’s leadership has a history of refusing to denounce Hamas and Hizballah as terrorist groups, and multiple former CAIR officials have been convicted of crimes tied to jihadist terror.

CAIR’s founding and background are soaked in Islamist influence. Its cofounders, Omar Ahmad and Nihad Awad, both have documented ties to the Muslim Brotherhood’s Hamas network.

The group grew out of the Islamic Association for Palestine, a Hamas propaganda front that the federal government eventually shut down.

That background alone would have been enough to disqualify most organizations from being treated seriously, yet CAIR has enjoyed years of fawning press coverage and political patronage.

CAIR has consistently opposed virtually every anti-terror measure brought to Congress or implemented by law enforcement.

Its opposition is so relentless that the United Arab Emirates, not exactly known for jumping to America’s defense, has already listed CAIR as a terrorist organization.

The group’s leaders have made no secret of their disdain for the United States government or its security agencies.

Perhaps most damning is how CAIR has openly encouraged Muslims to refuse cooperation with the FBI. In 2011, a CAIR chapter in California circulated a “Build a Wall of Resistance” poster urging Muslims not to talk to federal investigators.

Cyrus McGoldrick, then a CAIR New York leader, crudely reminded the world of his loyalty by tweeting “Snitches get stitches.”

Such statements are not just reckless; they are dangerous for national security and for Muslim Americans who genuinely want to live free of extremist influence.

Yet, incredibly, CAIR remains respected among Washington elites. Many in Congress and the media pretend the group is a simple civil rights operation, ignoring its deeply troubling affiliations.

Its website boasts endorsements from both Republican and Democrat politicians who either have not done their homework or simply do not care. CAIR has perfected the art of playing the American political class for fools.

DeSantis’s designation is not just a legal move but a moral one. It is a statement that Florida will not turn a blind eye to threats simply because the media finds the truth inconvenient.

It is about protecting American citizens rather than humoring activists who despise the very freedoms they exploit for gain.

As expected, some critics on the right have expressed concern about the precedent this might set.

Former Florida state representative Joel Rudman warned about giving such powers to state authorities, suggesting that Democrats could later target conservative groups under similar laws.

It is a valid concern, but it does not negate the present reality. DeSantis is acting against organizations whose activities already meet the definition of terror-linked operations.

Rudman’s argument boils down to a fear of how bad actors might later misuse just laws. But by that logic, no law would ever be passed.

America’s enemies, foreign and domestic, never hesitate to act, and shrinking from a necessary fight only emboldens them.

The truth is, Antifa and CAIR have both earned their reputations through violence, radical advocacy, and schemes aimed at undermining law enforcement and social order.

If calling them what they are upsets the left or terrifies polite society, so be it. Florida is proving that courage in leadership still exists outside the Beltway echo chamber.

DeSantis continues to set the standard for standing up to the radical left, corporate media, and Washington bureaucrats who would rather pretend that jihadists and anarchists are simply victims of misunderstanding.

For Floridians, and for a growing number of Americans, this is exactly the kind of constitutional backbone they elected him to show.

When the dust settles, history will likely record this decision as another moment when DeSantis chose clarity over cowardice.

The political class can whine all it wants, but the people of Florida are safer with leaders who refuse to look away from reality.
