Florida Transgender Teen, Friend Charged in Alleged Plot to Kill Classmate to ‘Resurrect’ Sandy Hook Shooter [WATCH]

Two teenagers in Florida are facing attempted premeditated murder charges after authorities say they plotted to kill a fellow student at Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte Springs in an alleged plan tied to Sandy Hook shooter Adam Lanza, as reported by The Blaze.

The suspects, Isabelle Valdez, 15, and Lois Lippert, 14, were arrested in January after police received an anonymous tip warning that a student was being targeted in a planned killing.

According to the Altamonte Springs Police Department, the tip was received on Jan. 22 and alerted authorities to a possible murder plot involving a student at the high school.

Police began investigating the report the following morning. On Jan. 23, both girls arrived at school. By 7:38 a.m., officers asked a security guard to remove Valdez from her classroom so she could be questioned.

Court documents say Valdez identifies as transgender and goes by the name “Jimmy.”

During questioning with an assistant principal, Valdez admitted that she had been planning to kill another student, according to investigators.

Authorities asked how the alleged attack was supposed to be carried out. Police say Valdez told them she intended to use a knife and had already brought supplies to school.

Investigators said Valdez handed over a backpack that contained a knife, gloves, trash bags, and wipes.

Police said she told officials she had been hearing voices instructing her to kill the targeted student.

According to investigators, she said the voices told her the student reminded her of Adam Lanza, the gunman responsible for the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

Authorities say Valdez believed killing the student would lead to Lanza being resurrected.

Police said Valdez allegedly planned to stab the student in either the neck or the stomach.

Investigators say Lippert knew about the alleged plot and helped Valdez obtain items connected to the plan.

After their arrest, both girls were placed in the back of a police vehicle, where investigators say they were recorded discussing the situation.

According to the Altamonte Springs Police Department, the recording captured the two teenagers laughing and talking about the case.

Police documents summarizing the recorded conversation say the girls discussed their arrest, their alleged plan and whether someone had reported them.

“Valdez told Lippert that she was going to use makeup this morning for her mugshot, but she could not find anything,” reads a police readout of the recorded conversation. “Valdez then said, ‘It’s over.’ Lippert replied, ‘Yeah, it’s over. It doesn’t matter if you look good or not.’”

Investigators said the girls also discussed a blood pact related to Adam Lanza and whether someone had informed authorities about their plans.

Both suspects have been charged with attempted premeditated murder and are being charged as adults.

The case has drawn attention because of its reference to Adam Lanza, the gunman responsible for the 2012 massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.

In that attack, Lanza first killed his mother at their home before traveling to the school. He then shot and killed 20 first-grade students and six adults.

The shooting ended when Lanza took his own life at the scene.

Later releases by the FBI found that some warning signs in the months leading up to the attack had been overlooked.

The agency also reported that Lanza had stopped taking medication related to his Asperger’s syndrome diagnosis prior to the shooting.

Authorities in Florida continue to investigate the alleged plot at Lake Brantley High School as the case proceeds through the legal system.
