Well, this is a fine surprise kettle of fish for his replacement from the milquetoast, mushmouth, authoritarian, disgraced former Prime Minister.

Remember the fellow who was ‘proud’ of the job he’d done so badly that he had the lowest approval rating of any prime minister on record, and still made an ‘adieu‘ video boasting of it?

The test of any Prime Minister is: do you leave your country in a better place than you found it?

I’m proud that the answer is yes. pic.twitter.com/BMiapBQbEI

Heckuva a job, Sir K.

Keir Starmer will be remembered as both a spineless void of charisma AND a prime minister who oversaw the authoritarian & unprecedented stripping of Brits’ fundamental civil liberties – quite the achievement really

And it’s really kind of funny, as this same stalwart had sworn to remain a member of Parliament.

Keir Starmer will remain the MP for Holborn and St Pancras after standing down as prime minister, Downing Street has confirmed.

Starmer’s spokesperson said he was not expecting to take a role in Andy Burnham’s cabinet if offered one, though some MPs have suggested Burnham could make Starmer foreign secretary.

The spokesperson said Starmer would serve out the remainder of his term in the Commons and he was “going to remain” a Labour MP.

Asked whether he would take a cabinet job if offered, the spokesperson said Starmer had told his cabinet: “This is the end of my journey, but this is not the end of yours.”

Starmer has an 11,000 majority in his central London seat, though it would be a significant target for the Greens if he were to vacate it.

Ah, well – as the old 60s song says, Promises, Promises!

It has been an honour and a privilege to represent Holborn and St Pancras for the last 11 years.

TRANSLATION: I QUIT

Andy Burnham, the new Prime Minister of England, whose ascendancy to that office was engineered purely so he could boot Sir Keir Starmer from the No. 10 Downing Street digs, now has to scramble to find a Labour candidate to replace their expediently removed albatross at a time when their party is remarkably unpopular, in a London seat that the Greens are eyeing as very tempting.

Oh, goody.

This should be fun.

Rupert Lowe has gone on the attack. Brutally frank that running as a Restore candidate will not be with any hopes of a win, but to highlight what has happened to the capital city – and the country at large – in the hands of the two major parties.

Keir Starmer is resigning as an MP – there will be a by-election in his Holborn and St Pancras constituency.

A central area of London so entirely transformed by mass immigration it simply cannot be won by a party promising to deport millions, or even perceived to being on the…

…or even perceived to being on the right of politics.

So this is a unique chance for the remaining patriots in that seat to have their voices heard.

Restore Britain will be standing to give them that option.

The win will be a fight between Labour and the Greens/some leftist candidate – that’s just the honest truth. There is no point pretending otherwise.

Restore Britain will be putting forward a candidate to highlight the scale of the demographic change our capital city has suffered and how mass immigration has, to be frank, turned large parts of London into a third world dump.

For patriots in the seat, this is a free hit. Send a message. Vote with your heart. Back Restore Britain.

I look forward to the campaign.

Tory leader Kemi Badenoch took a smooth-as-silk shot at Starmer, needling him for the lack of loyalty shown by his fellow Labour members.

…Kemi Badenoch, the Tory leader, said: “Wishing Keir Starmer all the best for the future.

“I was surprised to hear he was standing down from Parliament. But I can understand why he would not want to spend time with the Labour MPs who treated him so badly after he won them their seats.”

The Tory chair was just as brutal.

…Kevin Hollinrake, the Tory chairman, said: “Whilst we have disagreed with almost all of Sir Keir Starmer’s decisions, I wish him and his family well for the future.

“It is fitting that his final act as a member of parliament is yet another U-turn, having pledged to stay on. The decision to stand down will mean a costly by-election for taxpayers at a time when Andy Burnham and John Healey are plotting tax rises on hardworking families across the country.

“The Conservatives look forward to giving the people of Holborn and St Pancras a chance to vote for a stronger economy and a stronger country in the weeks ahead.”

For his part, Sir Keir is on the hunt for adventures further afield than these pastoral shores of England, wanting to dabble in all the very things he bolloxed up so badly as prime minister – foreign affairs, violence against women and girls, defense (I had to wipe my ‘puter screen off after the last two).

I mean, the absolute nerve of these over-educated, bubble-people elites, and how they are assured of failing upward.

…He told the Camden New Journal that he was ready to “pass the baton on to a successor”, and would focus on “international affairs including defence, security, trade and technology in a fast-changing world”.

He added: “I will also continue, as I have done for a long time now with others, work on combating violence against women and girls. That is an issue that matters to me hugely.

“It’s work I started before I became an MP and it’s work I’m keen to continue after I’m an MP. So international affairs on the one hand, and continuing my work on violence against women and girls on the other.”

He repeats several times how invested he has been – and still is – working on the issue of violence ‘against women and girls’ when he’s done the opposite demonstrably at every ghastly chance that life threw his way while in office. From the vicious Southport slaughters of three little girls – where Starmer laid flowers to a chorus of boos at the murder site and then went on to demonize and hunt down every citizen who publicly denounced the murders as racist bigots inciting violence. Where Starmer’s own government repeatedly blocked the Pakistani rape gang inquiry, labeling those calling for a national grooming gang inquiry ‘far-right extremists‘ before an abrupt U-turn under tremendous public pressure.

With that sort of pathetic waffling, his utter decimation of the British defense forces, witch hunt against former forces, and underhanded international dealings like the Chagos and Gibraltar snafus, it’s perfectly natural for Starmer to be setting his sights on being the NATO Secretary-General.

It’s practically a perfect fit, no?

…Sir Keir is said to be interested in the Nato secretary general position, which will become vacant in 2028 unless Mark Rutte’s tenure is extended by consent of all member states.

The former prime minister’s allies have argued that he was well-respected by European leaders and also fostered close relations with Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukraine’s president, with foreign policy widely regarded as one of Sir Keir’s greater strengths.

Oh, for sure, ‘foreign policy is one of his greatest strengths.’

Whatever dope they are all smoking, it’s got to be some of the most potent ever grown in a Chinese hothouse.

And if NATO goes from the eminently capable Mark Rutte to this disaster?

Gracious – just stick a fork in it as far as the US goes with Trump still president, because it’s done.

Should NATO dodge that rubber bullet, I hear Davos still has a chairman opening, but Starmer had best be quick about it.

Canada’s Carney may need a job, and he will always be a world banker at heart.
