Piker Melts Down As Michigan’s Jewish Dems Fight Back

I wonder whether this is a meltdown. Is this stream of profanity-laced whining and idiocy a normal day on Hasan Piker’s Twitch stream?

Meltdown or not, Abdul El-Sayed’s chief surrogate finds himself in the middle of a Democrat Party civil war that Piker himself helped create and promote. It started with a previous Piker stream in which Piker called Israel “basically Jewish ISIS” and warned that support for Israel would lead to American Jews being targeted for violence. Piker apparently directed this at Jeremy Moss, a Jewish Democrat running for a House seat this November. Mike Rogers picked up the clip from DSA Watch and highlighted it on social media Sunday afternoon:

More calls for violence coming out of the El-Sayed campaign…

Here is his running mate, Hasan Piker, saying that if AMERICAN JEWS support Israel, they will be violently targeted because of it.

This is all in reaction to Michigan Democratic Congressional candidate Jeremy Moss,… https://t.co/X5wEp7OULL

This is all in reaction to Michigan Democratic Congressional candidate Jeremy Moss, who happens to be Jewish, saying he is unsure if he will be able to support Abdul for these very reasons.

Absolutely DISGUSTING. If Abdul El-Sayed had any courage at all, he would call this out and disavow Hasan Piker once and for all. We’re waiting, Abdul…

Moss is hardly the only Jewish Democrat in Michigan considering the dilemma of having a pro-Hamas candidate for the US Senate as the potential fulcrum for Senate control next session. Thanks to Piker, that question has only become more acute, especially in relation to Piker’s accusation that Israel is “basically Jewish ISIS.” Piker’s suggestion that Jews who don’t fall in line with the pro-Islamist marching orders of this iteration of the Democrat Party, combined with that characterization of Israel, finally forced El-Sayed to distance himself in the most general terms possible from his Twitch wingman.

Robby Soave noticed that El-Sayed didn’t actually refute anything Piker said, including “Jewish ISIS”:

Hasan Piker said that supporting Israel is like supporting ISIS—Israel is “basically Jewish ISIS.” This is totally absurd, and unaddressed in Abdul El-Sayed’s statement. https://t.co/hYKJwBbKR0

And that’s interesting, because this is actually the easiest claim to rebut in Piker’s nonsensical and anti-Semitic tirade. Israel, alone among the nations in the region, has a multiparty parliamentary democracy and a liberal-progressive culture. Its Knesset includes Arabs in their own political parties, and the government allows the practice of other faiths with civil protections. Israeli democracy, a wild and raucous environment, stands in stark contrast to the Islamist theocracy/terrorist tyranny imposed by ISIS in the same region, and a pretty stark contrast to the other emirates in the Middle East as well.

There is no such thing as a “Jewish ISIS” except in the fever dreams of anti-Semites like Piker and his allies, including Abdul El-Sayed.

And now that El-Sayed won’t denounce Piker’s comments in more specificity, another prominent Jewish Democrat is speaking out against Piker, and by extension, El-Sayed and his Senate candidacy:

Controversial far-left Twitch streamer Hasan Piker, who has become increasingly prominent in Democratic politics, is facing backlash from Rep. Hillary Scholten, D-Mich., over his remarks about American Jews’ support for Israel that she characterized as “talk of violence” targeting Jewish Michigan state Sen. Jeremy Moss.

In a statement published Monday, Scholten said Piker was “a hack who thrives on hate, shock and awe because he lacks substance.”

“Hasan Piker’s talk of violence against American Jews, and directly naming a Michigan elected official, and future member of Congress, Jeremy Moss, is unacceptable. Full stop,” Scholten’s statement read. “We should all be calling out this disgusting rhetoric so it loses its grip on our politics once and for all. It has no place in Michigan, and no place in our country.”

Piker is a hate-hack, certainly, but El-Sayed has made him a campaign surrogate. Scholten is attempting to be subtle here, but if she truly believes that this “has no place in Michigan,” she will have to ensure it by making it too costly for candidates in the future. That means El-Sayed needs to lose, and lose big.

Piker responded with an anti-Semitic, conspiracy-theory attack on Scholten, as well as a personal smear that may force Scholten to get a lot less nuanced about El-Sayed:

if i was an israel 1st congresswoman with a possible cheating scandal with a republican in the state, i wouldn’t spend so much time vying for the spotlight by actively defaming a prominent antizionist voice to harm the dem senate majority chances over a 90/10 issue. https://t.co/PcKqooSjFg

And that is where the apparent meltdown comes into the picture. Piker apparently spent an hour turning himself into the victim, complaining about having his “basically Jewish ISIS” and threats of violence being clipped out of context by Max Nordau, but then conceding that the full context doesn’t actually change anything. Nordau provides five minutes of the most meaningful meltdown, then posts the full hour-plus with helpful time-stamp receipts:

FULL VIDEO: Hasan Piker crashes out for 82 minutes because someone accurately quoted him

0:43 Concedes the campaign against him is “relatively effective in undermining Abdul El-Sayed’s Michigan run.” He’s admitting he’s a liability to the nominee.

3:34 Incorrectly names the owner of the account that clipped him, falsely claims he’s “LARPing as a Jewish person” who “lies about being Jewish on the timeline.”

12:01 “Even the clips are in context. The clips are not out of context. The clips are basically in context.” Seventy minutes of complaint still to come after this.

41:54 Spreads a rumour that Rep. Hillary Scholten (D-MI) is “allegedly in an extramarital relationship” with a Republican, then repeats it as his own post.

46:46 “I am literally the person that is being dangled, and I’m going to tell you once again, he’s not moderating on his perspective on Israel.” The surrogate telling you El-Sayed’s public distancing means nothing.

52:14 “I am not suicidal… I don’t have a gun in my house. Stop being fucking weird.”

53:13 Plays the clip a third time: “let’s continue with this clip while I go pee.”

58:50 “I’m not going to do that either because it’s working…you think I want AIPAC to get a W here?”

1:01:26 “You’re right. The number one fucking news story of today, I should just avoid talking about.”

1:03:06 “So congratulations, Abdul and Democrats. You have now fallen into this shit” — then predicts El-Sayed “will condemn Hasan Piker, in which case he’ll look super weak.”

1:10:18 “Let’s say tomorrow I decide it’s too much… I’m done. I’m out.”

I suspect that El-Sayed is hoping that Piker makes that decision very, very soon. But by now, it’s too late. Piker would have to go radio silent for the rest of the campaign for that to have any impact. Anything he says publicly now will attach itself to El-Sayed; they are politically joined at the hip, far more closely than the nearest analogue to this situation, Barack Obama and Jeremiah Wright. Piker probably can’t afford to shut down for the next three months, and more to the point, is likely incapable of keeping his mouth shut for more than a day or two.

Scholten is right that this has no place in Michigan, or in the US Senate either. Let’s hope that Michigan Democrat voters reach that same conclusion and send El-Sayed and Piker into political oblivion.

Editor’s Note: The 2026 Midterms will determine the fate of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must maintain control of both chambers of Congress.
