Rob Reiner Called Charlie Kirk’s Murder ‘Absolute Horror’ in Final Interview [WATCH]

Actor and filmmaker Rob Reiner said he felt “absolute horror” after watching video of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, according to remarks he made in one of his final interviews before his own death, as reported by the New York Post.

Reiner, a prominent Hollywood figure and outspoken Democrat, discussed Kirk’s killing during an appearance with Piers Morgan just weeks after the Turning Point USA founder was assassinated in September.

Reiner and his wife were later stabbed to death at their Los Angeles home on Sunday, according to the account referenced in the interview timeline.

When Morgan asked Reiner about his reaction to Kirk’s assassination, Reiner responded bluntly.

“Horror. An absolute horror,” Reiner said.

He told Morgan that he had seen video of the attack and said the killing was indefensible regardless of politics.

“I unfortunately saw the video of it, and it’s beyond belief what happened to him, and that should never happen to anybody. I don’t care what your political beliefs are. That’s not acceptable,” Reiner said.

Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, was killed in September, an event that sparked national attention and intense debate across political media.

“What his wife said at … the memorial they had was exactly right. And totally I believe — you know I’m Jewish — but I believe in the teachings of Jesus and I believe… in forgiveness,” Reiner said.

He continued by praising Erika Kirk directly for her remarks.

“And what she said to me was beautiful — you know she forgave his assassin, and I think that that is admirable,” Reiner said.

The interview marked one of Reiner’s last public appearances before his death.

Known for his decades-long career in film and television, Reiner was also a frequent political commentator and a reliable critic of conservative activists and movements.

His acknowledgment of the brutality of Kirk’s killing and his praise for Erika Kirk’s response contrasted with the sharply partisan tone that often defined his public statements.
