Sen. McConnell Released From Rehab

Sen. Mitch McConnell was released from a rehab facility today and will now head home to continue his recovery. His office released this statement.

“Earlier today, I was discharged from the rehabilitation center to continue my recovery at home. Elaine and I are grateful for the many well wishes and support from friends, colleagues, and Kentuckians, and for the attentive care I’ve received from excellent doctors, nurses, therapists, and hospital staff.

“On the advice of my doctors, I’ll maintain an intensive regimen of physical therapy from home during the state work period, and I’ll continue to engage with my staff and colleagues on important Senate business.”

McConnell was hospitalized back in June after an unspecified medical incident. There have been lots of questions about exactly what happened to McConnell back on June 14th. The official story is that he passed out at home.

In a statement last month, he said that he had been hospitalized after he was “briefly unconscious” following a fall. “My doctors have confirmed that I didn’t break any bones or suffer a concussion,” he said on July 12. “I didn’t have a heart attack or a stroke. I don’t have any tumors or hemorrhages. But I was briefly unconscious and was taken to the hospital. While receiving excellent care over the past several weeks, I’ve also had to deal with a mild case of pneumonia.”

That denial about a heart attack or stroke probably stems from reports that paramedics had responded to a case of “cardiac arrest” at his home.

Paramedics conducted CPR on a person experiencing a “cardiac arrest” at a known address for Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., on the day his office disclosed he had been hospitalized, according to police scanner audio obtained by NBC News.

According to the audio, the first medic on the scene began performing CPR, according to the dispatchers, and was then joined by an additional EMS team at the same address.

I’m not a medical expert but you don’t do CPR on someone whose heart is beating. So if CPR happened it’s because there was a case of cardiac arrest. This clip contains some of the dispatch audio.

🚨 MAJOR UPDATE: New audio reveals Sen. Mitch McConnell was in full cardiac arrest!

Looking back on the statement his office issued about the incident, he says he didn’t have a heart attack but does not explicitly say he didn’t suffer cardiac arrest. The two things are different obviously. A heart attack involves a lack of blood to the heart which causes damage to the muscle. But cardiac arrest can be caused by a problem with the heart’s electrical signals. Anyway, it’s interesting they didn’t specifically deny that.

It’s also worth mentioning that there were some people claiming that McConnell had actually died.

Mitch McConnell is being kept “alive” by life support machines, but my White House source told me McConnell is in organ failure, and as I reported, source told me he has allegedly been declared a vegetable (brain dead) by doctors and the White House has been told “McConnell isn’t…

It wasn’t just Loomer. This is from earlier today.

My fellow Americans: Mitch McConnell is almost certainly dead, so how exactly is he still voting in Congress?

Notice: none of the MAGA influencers or conservative pundits want to discuss it.

Obviously, those reports were also false but I still see some people suggesting that McConnell is really dead and his release is just a new stage of the cover up. Until he gets in front of the cameras again, these theories will proliferate. Sadly, we live in Candace Owens’ world now. Even the wildest conspiracy theories get taken seriously by some people.

The Senate is set to begin a five-week break on Monday. It’s unlikely McConnell will return to the Senate before then. So we probably won’t see him at work again until mid-September.
