Spencer Pratt drew attention Thursday after posting a sly remark about the ongoing ballot count in the Los Angeles mayoral race, a contest in which he has not yet conceded or challenged the outcome, as reported by the New York Post.

On X, Pratt wrote, “Are they done counting yet?” The five-word quip quickly circulated online among both supporters and critics.

Are they done counting yet?

That same day, Pratt was spotted in Carpenteria leaving Delgados restaurant with his wife, Heidi Montag. The former reality television star wore a T-shirt featuring Montag’s face when approached by a photographer for The California Post.

When asked if he had any information about the election results or suspicions of voter fraud, Pratt simply shrugged and lifted his arms in silence.

Pratt has yet to acknowledge his defeat to Councilwoman Nithya Raman, who will now face incumbent Mayor Karen Bass in November’s runoff.

The race initially looked promising for Pratt, who secured an endorsement from President Donald Trump and led Raman by at least eight points on election night.

However, his early advantage faded as mail-in ballots—typically favoring Democratic candidates—were tallied in the following days.

One week later, Raman established a lead of over 40,000 votes, solidifying her position and leaving Pratt’s campaign largely quiet since the race was declared.

Since election night, Pratt has posted only twice. The first message was an image of a duck gliding on calm sunset water, shared shortly after his defeat became apparent.

The tranquil image drew speculation from followers. Comments under the post included “Sitting duck” and “Like water off a duck’s back,” though Pratt never clarified its meaning.

The second post came in response to Jimmy Kimmel, who mocked Pratt’s loss during a Tuesday night monologue. The late-night host joked about false claims of election rigging and referenced Pratt’s comments about leaving Los Angeles if he lost.

“Moving is expensive, so to help you out, we rented you a U-Haul,” Kimmel said, adding that his staff had decorated it so Pratt “would be noticed” on his way out of town.

On Wednesday morning, Pratt responded by sharing a video of his burned Pacific Palisades home, writing, “Jimmy Kimmel, I guess you missed the part of the story. I don’t need a U-Haul … I have nothing left to pack.”

Pratt’s house fire, which occurred last year, had been one of the key reasons he cited for entering the mayoral race.

Meanwhile, online chatter about the results has intensified, with numerous theories alleging election fraud and manipulation. Many of those claims have been echoed by President Donald Trump.

Election officials, including the Los Angeles County Registrar and the California Secretary of State’s Office, have repeatedly dismissed those allegations as false.

Pratt’s “Are they done counting yet?” comment marked his first notable reaction since the early vote tally shifted against him. Whether intended as a jab or a resigned observation, it underscored his continued frustration with the drawn-out process.

As his unlikely campaign fades and the runoff moves forward, Pratt remains mostly silent—save for a few cryptic posts that leave followers guessing what he truly means.
