President Donald Trump is once again taking aim at Joe Biden, and this time, the issue is Biden’s lawsuit against his own Justice Department.

The commander in chief turned plaintiff wants to stop the release of audio recordings tied to the Biden classified documents investigation.

And in true Trump fashion, he minced no words, blasting Biden as “A Crooked Politician!!!” in a fiery Truth Social post late Tuesday night.

The controversy centers on Biden’s interviews with ghostwriter Mark Zwonitzer, conducted during the creation of Biden’s memoirs in 2016 and 2017.

Here’s What They’re Not Telling You About Your Retirement

Those conversations ended up in the hands of Special Counsel Robert Hur, who investigated Biden’s improper storage and retention of classified materials from his Senate and vice presidential days.

Hur’s findings exposed gaps in Biden’s memory and questions about his fitness, but the White House has fought tooth and nail to prevent the audio from ever seeing the light of day.

Biden’s lawsuit against the Justice Department accuses it of planning to surrender the files to both Congress and the conservative Heritage Foundation.

His legal team argues that releasing the audio would violate Biden’s privacy, declaring that “every American, including a sitting or former Vice President, has a right to privacy in the personal conversations he has within his own home.”

That line has raised plenty of eyebrows.

Privacy is a convenient defense when your own words might reveal just how mentally foggy you were while discussing classified documents.

Critics across conservative media argue Biden’s lawsuit is little more than a calculated attempt to bury evidence that shows him struggling through the same lapses that concerned Hur during the investigation.

Trump, who has been the target of relentless prosecutions over his handling of classified documents, did not let the double standard go unnoticed.

He reminded his followers that the Justice Department has bent over backwards to shield Biden while aggressively pursuing him.

WATCH:

To millions of Americans already skeptical of a politicized justice system, Biden’s move feels like confirmation that the playing field is anything but level.

The House already voted in 2024 to hold then Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress for refusing to release Biden’s interview audio.

That defiance came after Biden invoked executive privilege to block access.

Lawmakers wanting to compare how Biden and Trump were treated have so far been stonewalled by an administration acting more like a fortress than a steward of transparency.

Hur’s report itself, although stopping short of criminal charges, portrayed Biden as “an elderly man with a poor memory.”

The transcripts show the president repeatedly saying he could not recall key details related to his own classified notes, including where and when certain sensitive records were kept.

Those facts are already public, yet the White House insists that releasing the audio would somehow endanger Biden’s privacy.

What they really fear, critics say, is the sound of Biden’s own confusion confirming every concern about his mental sharpness.

Biden’s allies in the media have predictably tried to spin the lawsuit as routine legal maneuvering.

They claim it is about protecting the presidency, not hiding embarrassing details.

But that explanation rings hollow when the administration is the one that touted “the most transparent administration in history.”

Transparency apparently ends when the microphones start rolling.

Republicans are expected to use the lawsuit to hammer home the theme of selective justice.

They note that Trump’s estate was raided and his name dragged through courtrooms, while Biden’s mishandling of classified documents has been brushed aside with excuses about age and forgetfulness.

“If your last name is Biden, you get protection. If your name is Trump, you get prosecution,” said one conservative lawmaker.

Democrats claim Biden’s cooperation with investigators is proof of his good faith.

But cooperation means little when the president’s team immediately sues to prevent Americans from hearing the truth on tape.

Hur’s investigation already painted a troubling picture, and the silence of that missing audio speaks volumes.

The Biden legal team’s argument about “an unwarranted invasion of privacy” is not sitting well with those who remember years of Democratic leaders publicly celebrating every Trump-related leak.

Apparently, exposing private calls is righteous when it hurts Trump, but reckless when it might embarrass Biden.

Trump’s social media jab captured the sentiment of conservatives frustrated by these double standards.

Biden’s latest move only fuels speculation that the White House fears the public reaction if voters hear the real Biden stumbling through the interview.

The louder Biden fights to suppress the tapes, the more Americans suspect they reveal something unfit for a second term.

Expect this political storm to intensify as Congress pushes for access.

Trump is more than happy to capitalize on that contradiction, reminding voters that his opponent’s greatest enemy may not be the Republicans but the truth he is so desperate to bury.
