Vance Obliterates El Sayed After Usha Attack, Warns She is Way Out of His League [WATCH]

Vice President JD Vance delivered a blistering warning to Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El Sayed on Monday, telling the liberal candidate to stop dragging second lady Usha Vance into his campaign rhetoric and start explaining his record to Michigan voters.

Speaking at a metro Detroit rally organized by MAGA Inc., a super PAC aligned with President Donald Trump, Vance argued that voters deserve a serious discussion about jobs, immigration, wages, and public safety.

Personal shots at a candidate’s wife, he suggested, are both strange and politically desperate.

“I actually think that the people of Michigan think it’s kind of weird when you talk about another guy’s wife,” Vance said.

Vance then redirected the contest toward the economic concerns that have shaped Michigan politics for decades.

“I think the people of Michigan would like you to talk about the public policy ideas …I think the people of Michigan would like you to talk about how you’re going to protect auto workers when you’re supporting every single policy that has undercut the wages and jobs of Michigan auto workers your entire life in public service.”

Then came the warning that drew the loudest attention. “But whatever you want to talk about, Abdul, keep my wife’s name the hell out of your mouth because she’s way out of your league,” the vice president added.

The confrontation followed a social media post from El Sayed responding to Vance’s comments about Sharia law and his grandfather.

El Sayed wrote, “do we think JD is taking Usha with him back in time to meet Papaw, or no”

Critics quickly argued that the remark appeared aimed at Usha Vance’s Indian heritage.

El Sayed later claimed he was criticizing the idea that Americans whose families arrived earlier are somehow more authentically American than those with immigrant relatives, but the explanation did little to quiet the backlash.

Vance also hammered El Sayed over immigration and the Democrat’s claim to represent working people.

The vice president pointed to El Sayed’s past support for allowing illegal aliens to obtain standard driver’s licenses, arguing that such policies threaten American workers and create serious concerns on crowded highways.

“We’re here to talk about protecting Michigan truck drivers, but also protecting the safety of every single person who drives on the road with a semi truck, which is all of us,” Vance said.

Vance continued, “Here’s the crazy thing. Just a few years ago, Abdul El-Sayed said that we need to make sure that illegal aliens have driver’s licenses in this country.”

“He would love to undercut the wages of American truckers,” Vance added.

The criticism placed El Sayed squarely on defense over an immigration record that Republicans believe is badly disconnected from the concerns of Michigan families, truckers, and auto workers.

El Sayed supported standard driver’s licenses for illegal aliens in 2018, though he did not specifically advocate giving them the commercial licenses required to operate long haul trucks.

That distinction may satisfy liberal activists, but Republicans are unlikely to let voters forget the broader policy or its consequences.

Vance also described El Sayed as representing a “terrible evil,” prompting the Democrat to return fire with familiar class warfare talking points.

“Evil is dividing people for your own gain. Evil is selling out your morals for a little bit of power,” El Sayed said later Monday.

El Sayed also accused Vance and Republicans of harming working people while favoring wealthy Americans.

He declared, “Michigan is better than being lectured to by sock puppets from Ohio and Florida.”

The sharp exchange previews a bruising general election battle for Michigan’s open United States Senate seat, where El Sayed will face Republican Mike Rogers.

Immigration, manufacturing, tariffs, transportation safety, and the cost of living are poised to dominate the campaign.

Vance and El Sayed do share broad support for using tariffs to strengthen American industry, but their agreement largely ends there.

Their competing approaches to immigration and labor policy offer Michigan voters a clear choice between Trump’s America First agenda and another dose of progressive experimentation.
