‘Same, Lindsey’: Sick Mothers Now Doing TikToks About How They Want Their Kids Dead

I wrote my post titled “Stop the Earth, I Want to Get Off” last night (I often do my first post of the day the evening before because I’m pretty slow and grouchy before my first coffee), so I hadn’t yet seen that “Same, Lindsey” is now trending on TikTok. 

Let me quadruple down on that sentiment. There are a lot of truly broken people who need to spend a very long time in an asylum with nice, padded rooms, doctors familiar with the best pharmaceuticals available, and perhaps several operating rooms set up for ECT. 

I hadn’t followed the Lindsey Clancy case until recently because it seemed like one of those sad cases where a person snapped and did something horrific, but it had no particular social significance. I know that many people like to follow true crime stuff, but I am not one of them. We live in a fallen world, and with over 8 billion people, you can find many examples of even the most improbable occurrences that tell you next to nothing about the human condition in general. 

It seems like voyeurism to me to spend a lot of time talking about such things; my job is to talk about big-picture issues.

There is a pro-Lindsey movement, made up of white liberal women who have lost their minds, which IS a big-picture problem that is plaguing our society. In fact, it’s such a big problem that we can trace a significant chunk of our societal problems today to hysterical women who can’t distinguish between emotional reactions and reasonable thoughts. 

By no means do I think that most women are hysterical and incapable of rational thought; but there is something about this moment in history that has unleashed the hysterical impulses in a large class of women, gifting us wokeness, gender ideology, DEI, “defund the police,” the DSA, and, worst of all, The View. 

Seriously. The View is a popular TV show. Its viewers not only vote, but are a powerful enough voting bloc that the Democrat Party caters to them, and the type of people who think those women are smart and thoughtful run the HR departments in corporate America and now run our education system from pre-K to post-graduate. 

Helen Andrews has written and spoken extensively about how the feminization of our institutions has created a toxic culture that is destroying the West.

There’s a new “Same, Lindsay” trend on TikTok, with mothers filming themselves with their children while saying they feel the same way as a woman who strangled her own 3 children to death.

This is absolutely terrifying. If someone is publicly expressing that they identify with or feel the same way as a child murderer while their own children are present, someone should seriously consider contacting CPS to make sure those children are safe.

Don’t believe me when I say there is a serious problem here? The celebration of Luigi Mangione is not enough to convince you? The lionization of Lindsey Clancy doesn’t make you wonder?

Yes, there is a TikTok trend of women holding their children while crying, not only sympathizing with Lindsey Clancy, but expressing that they feel the same way she did when she killed her children. 

Clancy strangled her three kids. One by one. Then she tried to kill herself. And these women IDENTIFY with her, and rather than getting help, they are openly sharing with others that they feel this way and are looking for affirmation, and getting it. 

“Same, Lindsay” is trending.

My first reaction to the Lindsey Clancy case was pretty basic: she snapped for whatever reason. She had a psychotic episode and unfortunately didn’t check herself into a hospital for emotional detox and psychiatric help. Instead, she planned and executed a series of vicious murders with malice aforethought.

In other words, for whatever reason, she’s broken. I don’t know what to do about her brokenness, or what “justice” would look like, and I have no great existential insights into her mind or case. I can understand why people react with anything from rage to sadness about her actions; she needed help, didn’t get it, and the world is poorer for it.

What I don’t understand is why anybody would look at her and see themselves in her, and want her to be celebrated. Just like I don’t understand those women who put up TikToks about how they are happy they abandoned their kids to find themselves and live their best lives, which is also apparently a trend.

Ladies, I’m talking to the ones who are not just pure evil cunts. In most men’s prisons and jails, if a man goes in for sexual assault of a child or for killing a child, lifers go on ahead and arrange a  face to face with their maker. Do ya’ll not have something like that? Just a thought

One Lindsey Clancy going off the rails tells you nothing about society; an entire movement celebrating Lindsey Clancy tells you that we have a social crisis on our hands. 

Obviously, there were people like this around before social media, but social media seems to have created an environment where there is self-reinforcement going on. And, in my own mind, it seems like the COVID madness of 2020 onward created a superspreader event where the ID of unstable people was empowered to create emotional tyrants. Narcissistic tendencies that were under the surface exploded to the surface. I see little evidence that they are going back underground.

Why isn’t the “Same, Lindsay” trend talked about enough?

Basically, it’s moms on TikTok who post videos with their babies (sometimes crying) or shaking them, as if saying “SHE’D KILL IT LIKE SHE DID (Lindsay).”

Straight up, they’re committing child abuse live and direct and making an apology for crime.

We’re watching an open-air psych ward.

I am certain that most women would be as appalled as I am at this trend, and I have been struck by how many times I have seen rational women say they would be willing to give up the right to vote as long as the AWFLs would lose theirs as well. That is a very recent phenomenon, and it wouldn’t really solve the underlying problem here, since the problem is not “women voting” but AWFLs being narcissistic and getting reinforcement for being so.

I don’t know how to solve this cultural crisis, but the advice that I am seeing from sane women, sane men, and divorce lawyers in this case strikes me as sound: if a mother is expressing that she identifies with Lindsey Clancy, she must be removed from the home and kept away from her children and begin treatment right away for mental illness.

Mental illness is a real thing, and it runs in my family. I know it well and have tremendous sympathy for people who suffer from it. 

But not so much that I would say, “You go, girl (or guy).” It is not something to be celebrated, indulged, or “normalized.” It needs to be addressed as what it is: a disorder. Instead, we are encouraging it. We see that with alphabet ideology, where treating people with gender dysphoria and helping people cope with their biological sex being real is now illegal in many states and classified as a form of torture. 

They call it “conversion therapy,” as if telling a teenager that it is OK to be a girl or a boy is a form of torture. Instead, the preferred strategy is cutting off genitals. 

That is insane. This is insane. 

One last thing: ladies, men can’t solve this problem. In their eyes, men are part of the problem. So, as unfair as it is, it’s up to you to start fighting back.
