Traffic backed up for miles, the A20 was affected, and ferry passengers faced significant delays.

Access to the port was completely blocked at one point, showing that the movement has advanced well beyond polite speeches and carefully managed demonstrations.

A local Conservative councilor described the Dover action as “coordinated,” and said several hundred people appeared to have arrived overnight.

Kent Police reported no arrests, and regular port operations resumed around midday after the disruption.

Two ports were targeted in two days, marking a striking escalation in Britain’s increasingly bitter immigration fight.

The unrest is not limited to Britain.

Hundreds marched through Dublin on June 10 demanding a referendum on the European Union’s Migration and Asylum Pact, while another demonstration later that month featured chants of “help Ireland, not the world” and “get them out.”

Northern Ireland has seen far more dangerous unrest following a brutal knife attack in Belfast that was allegedly committed by a Sudanese man.

That violence should not be confused with peaceful opposition to immigration or the largely nonviolent disruption witnessed in Dover.

Still, these episodes reveal that immigration politics across Britain and Ireland are moving out of legislative chambers and directly into public streets.
