A Connecticut father celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary died in a tragic fall during a concert at Madison Square Garden over the weekend, according to reports.

Authorities said 51-year-old Paul Kueker appeared to jump or fall from a balcony in the 300s section during a show on Saturday night. Witnesses told officials that Kueker seemed “intoxicated” and “under the influence” before the fall.

The New York Post reported that Kueker was attending the Goose concert with his wife when the incident occurred. He was captured on video falling head-first over a four-foot glass barrier shortly before 10 p.m.

After he fell, Kueker landed on concertgoers below, leaving several people with minor injuries, sources said. Police confirmed that the man was unconscious and unresponsive when they reached him.

Emergency personnel rushed Kueker to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His wife, who had been seated three sections away, reportedly did not see the fall and thought her husband had gone to the restroom.

She only learned what had happened when she was notified by authorities, according to the report. The family has since described the event as “unimaginable.”

The medical examiner’s office said Monday that Kueker’s cause of death remains under investigation. Officials are conducting a toxicology report as part of the inquiry.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Madison Square Garden expressed sorrow over the tragedy, saying, “While we await the police report on the tragedy at last night’s Goose concert, we are deeply saddened by the loss of a fan’s life at Madison Square Garden.”

The venue added, “Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the concertgoer.”

Members of the rock band Goose — Rick Mitarotonda, Trevor Weekz, Peter Anspach, and Cotter Ellis — issued their own statement following the incident.

They said, “We are deeply saddened and heartbroken to learn of the tragic event that occurred at tonight’s show. We extend our deepest sympathy to everyone affected. Thank you to the emergency personnel and venue staff who stepped in with care and support.”

A GoFundMe page created by Kueker’s daughter described him as “a loving father, family man, and friend whose presence brought warmth and laughter wherever he went.”

The fundraiser noted that Kueker loved cooking for those around him and attending live concerts. It said he cherished spending time with his family and enjoyed simple moments that created memories with the people he loved.

His daughter wrote, “The sudden loss of our dad has left our family heartbroken. We are struggling to process this unimaginable tragedy while facing the expenses that come with laying him to rest.”

Community members have since shared condolences and support for the family as investigators continue to gather information about the circumstances of Kueker’s death.
