Gabbard: Here’s How Fauci Helped Cause the COVID Pandemic – And Perjured Himself

If you are going to go out, you go out with a bang. Tulsi Gabbard plans to go out with the political equivalent of a nuclear explosion, one that targets Anthony Fauci and the entire COVID-19 medical establishment. 

Gabbard’s resignation as Director of National Intelligence takes effect today, which she has explained as a necessity to care for her husband as he fights a recently diagnosed cancer. Before leaving, however, Gabbard has released a four-tranche series of documentation that allegedly proves that not only did Fauci cover up the true nature and origin of COVID-19, he helped fund its creation and then lied repeatedly about it. Gabbard also alleges that a cover-up took place in Fauci’s NIAID, the NIH, and in the intelligence communities that resulted in a complete misdirection of pandemic policies:

… worked with politicized elements within the Intelligence Community to suppress the truth about his actions and hide the virus’ lab-leak origins, and lied to Congress while under oath in 2024. It’s time you know the truth.

The Office of the DNI released a lengthy statement that parallels Gabbard’s remarks. It also provides a link to the declassified documents, many of which still are substantially redacted, in support of Gabbard’s claims:

The materials released today are a result of DNI Gabbard’s yearlong declassification review in support of President Trump’s maximum transparency mandate. During this process, ODNI officials gathered testimony from multiple IC whistleblowers who reported retaliation for challenging the IC’s manipulation of intelligence on the virus’ origins. This unveiled a clear pattern of suppressing dissent, silencing critics, and burying evidence that undermined IC integrity and disserved the American people.

Fauci’s close IC relationships enabled him to assume three key roles during the pandemic that shielded him from scrutiny as he wielded outsized influence.

• Fauci funded risky coronavirus research linked to big pharma and the pursuit of “universal vaccines” worth trillions of dollars.
• Fauci was the behind-the-scenes advisor who, with his hand-picked experts, pushed the IC to endorse a natural, animal origin to hide his dangerous research.
• Fauci became the nation’s pandemic “pundit” and publicly pushed lies, disinformation, and censorship.

Much of this has already emerged, although perhaps more sussed out than proven. That includes how Fauci controlled the pandemic narrative from the beginning, along with politically aligned elements of the intelligence communities. They all conspired to stovepipe COVID data through channels that only went through Fauci:

Throughout the pandemic, Fauci and politicized leaders within the IC created a self-serving circular reporting loop. He provided hand-picked NIAID-funded scientists to advise the IC. This input shaped official intelligence assessments, which were then publicly cited as scientific consensus to refute the lab-leak theory.

According to hundreds of reviewed emails, the IC almost always incorporated his recommendations. Fauci promoted a fraudulent paper, whose publication he helped prompt, as legitimate information for Intelligence Community consideration. Senior analysts praised Fauci not as a “policymaker,” but as an unbiased guide to “the real coronavirus experts”—while ignoring experts who might dissent from Fauci’s narratives.

That certainly explains a lot, including the censorship that slammed down on anyone dissenting from the Fauci Party line. Dr. Jay Bhattacharya and his Great Barrington Declaration colleagues got punished for raising objections that weren’t just rational but turned out to be absolutely correct. Bhattacharya ended up vindicated and now works within the regulatory agencies that once punished him, but the damage to millions of lives and thousands of careers had already been done.

Still, it’s been six years. What kind of accountability can Fauci face now? Well, if Gabbard’s right about this next point, perhaps a criminal prosecution for lying to Congress:

The correspondence released today directly contradicts Fauci’s 2024 testimony to the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic. In that hearing, while under oath, Fauci was repeatedly asked whether he spoke to “FBI, CIA, DIA or any U.S. intelligence agency concerning viral research” before, during, or after the pandemic. Fauci repeatedly dodged the questions, before falsely stating, “not to my knowledge about COVID.”

If the documentation proves that Fauci perjured himself, Congress could refer the case to the Department of Justice in a contempt charge. Will Congress act at this point? The DoJ would probably loooove to prosecute Fauci and get this into the legal record, but with the midterms approaching and another budget cycle already lagging, there may not be enough legislative time on the calendar to act. If the House flips to Democrats in the midterms, the chances for a referral become somewhere between slim and none, and slim in this case means all but anorexic. (The Senate can’t act on behalf of the House in matters such as these.)

Gabbard and ODNI have released their documentary evidence, and it is voluminous. Does it prove her case? I’d expect the House Oversight Committee to at least take a close look at these documents and make a determination. We will likely have to wait a while, even while the online community crowdsources the vetting and makes reports on the meaning of these communications. Fauci will have more questions to answer in the meantime, however, as well the Protection Racket Media platforms and figures who tried to turn Fauci into a secular saint to prevent the kind of accountability that Gabbard promises now.
