Podcaster Joe Rogan discussed the protests in Minneapolis during a recent episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” arguing that the demonstrations were not spontaneous and describing them as a calculated effort tied to other developments in the city.

Rogan told listeners he believed the protests were being deliberately organized and funded rather than emerging naturally.

During the episode, he connected the timing of the protests with reports about fraud investigations in the same area.

Here’s What They’re Not Telling You About Your Retirement

“It’s not organic, that it just happened to be taking place in the very same place where you found hundreds of millions of dollars of fraud,” Rogan said.

He went on to describe the demonstrations as coordinated activity.

“These protests are organized,” Rogan said.

“They’re organized, and they’re paid for, which is also something that people need to understand. These are not organic protests.”

Rogan repeated his belief that the protests were designed to draw attention away from other issues.

“It’s not organic, that it just happened to be taking place in the very same place where you found hundreds of millions of dollars of fraud,” Rogan continued, adding, “This is one of the clearest, most obvious distractions you’ve ever seen in the public arena.”

During the discussion, Rogan described what he believed were organized tactics used to stage demonstrations.

He told listeners that individuals involved in the protests were receiving financial support and coordination from outside sources.

“You have these people who are being paid to protest. They give them money to go out there and protest. They give them signs,” the podcaster elaborated.

“They’re organizing it, they have Signal groups.”

Rogan also claimed that some individuals participating in the protests were targeting federal immigration enforcement personnel.

According to the host, he believed that information about Immigration and Customs Enforcement employees was being shared publicly online.

“They’re doxing all these different ICE workers. They find out what their license plates numbers are. They find out where they’re staying, they go to their hotel. The local cops are being told to stand down,” Rogan said.

The podcaster returned to the topic later in the conversation, again stating that the protests were connected to broader developments in the area.

“It’s not organic, that it just happened to be taking place in the very same place where you found hundreds of millions of dollars of fraud,” Rogan continued, adding, “This is one of the clearest, most obvious distractions you’ve ever seen in the public arena.”

Rogan again discussed what he described as organized protest efforts.

“You have these people who are being paid to protest. They give them money to go out there and protest. They give them signs,” the podcaster elaborated.

“They’re organizing it, they have Signal groups.”

He repeated his claim that ICE employees were being targeted online.

“They’re doxing all these different ICE workers. They find out what their license plates numbers are. They find out where they’re staying, they go to their hotel. The local cops are being told to stand down,” Rogan said.

Rogan then described what he called a convergence of circumstances that could lead to violence or instability.

“So you’ve got this convergence of all these factors that lead to chaos,” the podcaster said.

He then referenced comments he said were previously made by former Vice President Mike Pence about the dynamics of large-scale situations involving law enforcement and protests.

Rogan said Pence once described the situation as “it’s a mathematical thing,” in which “you’re going to have a certain amount of… instances.”

“You’re just playing it out over the numbers,” Rogan said.

“You have organized protests, you have untrained ICE agents, you have a lot of chaos, you have support for people screaming in the streets, someone gets shot, boom, and then it moves the needle.”

Rogan argued that the outcome of such situations could influence public perception of immigration enforcement.

“And this is calculated. They want this to happen,” the podcaster asserted.

“Because then this kills all the support for people that were kind of on the fence on whether or not ICE should be deporting all illegals, whether they should just go after violent criminals.”

He also addressed statistics that he said are often cited in discussions about immigration enforcement.

Rogan said he had heard claims that only a small percentage of individuals arrested by immigration authorities are violent offenders.

“These weird narratives,” Rogan said, referencing claims that, “Oh, only 14 percent are violent criminals that have been arrested.”

He disputed that characterization.

“It was 60 percent, plus, were criminals,” Rogan reacted, before asking, “And by what definition ‘violent criminals’?”

Rogan closed the discussion by questioning whether crimes that do not involve violence should be considered less serious.

“Is it okay if they’re just coming here to rip people off?” the podcaster further inquired. “Are you fine with that? It’s just the ‘violent’ ones we need to get rid of?”
