Trump Overhauls Childhood Vaccine Schedule, Torches Establishment Media Silence [WATCH]

President Donald Trump on Monday called out the establishment media for refusing to ask serious questions about vaccines, suggesting powerful medical and pharmaceutical interests may help explain the silence, as reported by Breitbart.

His remarks came after he signed an executive order revising federal childhood vaccine recommendations.

Breitbart News asked Trump why major media outlets so often seem unwilling to question vaccine policies, even as those policies affect millions of American families.

The president responded by pointing to the influence of medical organizations and drug companies.

“It’s amazing. When you come up with a recommendation for a vaccine, it could be the medical groups, the pharmaceutical groups, I don’t know, you know? But it is amazing. There’s nothing that we lose with this,” he said.

Trump argued that reconsidering federal vaccine recommendations presents little downside while potentially offering enormous benefits.

That basic cost and benefit discussion is apparently too much for a media establishment that spent years treating even modest vaccine questions as forbidden speech.

“If the worst thing that would happen would be nothing happens. We’re not going to lose anything. At the same time … we could save hundreds of thousands of lives, millions of lives, and I wish we could have done it a long time ago,” he added.

The president predicted that the revised childhood vaccine schedule will produce “tremendous results.”

His administration is moving ahead after an earlier effort was halted in court, another familiar obstacle for a White House trying to challenge entrenched federal policy.

“We got stopped by court. We had a court, I guess, in Massachusetts that stopped us very early on. … I’ve believed in this for a long time, so now, we’re getting it done, and I think you’re going to see potentially tremendous results,” he said.

Trump’s executive order recommends childhood immunizations covering 11 diseases.

That represents a reduction from the 18 diseases included in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations issued in 2024.

The change marks a significant shift in federal guidance and gives greater weight to a more limited group of vaccinations focused on serious diseases.

It also places parental concerns and scientific scrutiny back into a discussion that government officials and media gatekeepers too often portrayed as settled beyond debate.

“Effective immediately, my administration is recognizing gold standard childhood vaccine recommendations for only 11 core vaccinations against the most serious and dangerous diseases, along with the MMR, which hopefully will be split up,” he added.

The order recommends separating the combined MMR vaccine into three individual shots for measles, mumps, and rubella.

It also recommends administering those vaccines during separate medical visits rather than combining them into a single appointment.

That recommendation is likely to receive substantial attention from parents who have asked for more flexibility in childhood vaccination decisions.

For years, many of those parents were dismissed, mocked, or censored instead of being met with transparent information and respectful answers.

The White House also encouraged states with school vaccine mandates to review the new federal recommendations when considering their own laws.

Because states exercise significant authority over school attendance requirements, the guidance could influence policy debates across the country.

“States that enact school vaccine requirements are advised to consider the Gold Standard Childhood Vaccine Recommendations and consider updating their laws to reflect the recommendations,” the White House noted in a release.

Federal agencies were likewise directed to promote the administration’s revised guidance through their existing legal authorities.

The White House presented the effort as a way to ensure Americans receive stronger scientific information rather than messaging filtered through political or corporate interests.

“All Federal agencies are advised to advance the Gold Standard Childhood Vaccine Recommendations based on their relevant authorities to ensure Americans have the best scientific information,” the release added.

Trump’s challenge to the media lands after years of aggressive establishment efforts to shut down vaccine debate, particularly during the coronavirus pandemic.

Reporters who once claimed their mission was to question authority often acted more like public relations staff for federal health bureaucrats and pharmaceutical companies.

The new order does not eliminate childhood vaccination recommendations, despite the predictable hysteria likely to emerge from liberal commentators.

Instead, it narrows the recommended schedule, separates the MMR shots, and asks government institutions to revisit policies that have long escaped meaningful public scrutiny.

For Trump, the issue is not merely about changing a chart issued by federal health officials.
