  • D’Escufon says student unrest is masking a deeper public-order crisis.
  • She blames immigration and failed assimilation for worsening insecurity.
  • D’Escufon calls for deportations and tighter national borders.
  • She urges Western audiences to pay attention to events in France.

French commentator Thaïs d’Escufon is warning that recent student protests and unrest in France reflect a much broader breakdown in public order, immigration policy and national cohesion.

In a statement addressing audiences outside France, d’Escufon said demonstrations ostensibly tied to school conditions have, in her view, become an excuse for vandalism and attacks on public institutions.

“Hello to all friends of Europeans. I am native French, and I am so ashamed. I’m not ashamed of being French, of course, but I’m so ashamed to see France humiliating itself like this and being dragged through the mud for the whole world to see,” d’Escufon said.

She said high school students had been demonstrating over issues including demanding schedules, school resources, teacher shortages and student poverty, but argued that some of the protests had crossed far beyond those complaints.

“For more than three days now, you’ve seen that high school students have been wrecking Travaux across France to protest against their overly demanding school schedules, poor things, and the lack of resources in schools to provide them with a better quality of education,” she said.

D’Escufon pointed to incidents she described as attacks on public property, including a fire at Nelson Mandela High School.

“And here against student poverty by setting fire to the eco-friendly, anti-racist Nelson Mandela High School, which cost 77 million to build,” she said.

She argued that the stated grievances were being used as cover for hostility toward French institutions.

“Obviously, you understand that all of this is nothing more than an excuse found by a certain New France to skip school and unleash all their hatred against everything that represents France, the police, and even firefighters, because they’re racists,” d’Escufon said.

She also accused President Emmanuel Macron of failing to respond effectively.

“Meanwhile, Macron remains silent because he has completely lost control,” she said.

D’Escufon connected the current unrest to her memories of the 2005 riots in French suburbs, arguing that disorder once associated with particular neighborhoods has become more widespread.

“And you know, I remember when I was in middle school, the 2005 riots in the suburbs were discussed in contemporary history class,” she said.

She then attributed what she sees as recurring unrest and insecurity to immigration and the descendants of immigrants, presenting assimilation as a failed policy.

“Assimilation is a myth. We have to stop pretending it is possible to make it work anymore,” d’Escufon said.

Her remarks included sweeping claims about immigrants and their descendants and called for a much more aggressive response from the French government. She said authorities should abandon what she views as excessive leniency toward rioters and restore order through stronger enforcement.

“The question is, how did we ever get to this point?” d’Escufon asked.

She described France as a country with a deep cultural heritage that, in her view, has been weakened by political and institutional unwillingness to confront unrest.

“France, like this jewel of European civilization, a country of extraordinary cultural wealth, brought to its knees by thugs with an IQ of 80-they only understand force, and we are too weak,” she said.

D’Escufon went further, arguing that peaceful coexistence had become impossible in some cases and calling for deportations.

“So the reasonable and peaceful solution is to send them back to the countries of origin they love so much,” she said.

She also appealed directly to Americans, Europeans, and other Western audiences to circulate her account of events in France.

“Please share this video. Americans, Westerners, Europeans, and their friends, the French are counting on you to shine light on what the media refuse to show about the situation here,” d’Escufon said.

Her warning extended beyond France. She urged other countries to avoid what she considers the same immigration and integration mistakes and called for tighter borders.

“Look at what we have become. Do not make the same mistakes we did. Close your borders while you still have time; across the world, European peoples are facing the same problems,” she said.

D’Escufon closed by framing the unrest as part of a wider challenge facing European countries and their allies.

“We are all in this together, and together we will prevail.”
